Your first appointment includes a full clinical examination and a CBCT scan. This scan shows us the three-dimensional structure of your jawbone — its height, width, and density at each potential implant site — along with the positions of nerves, sinuses, and adjacent roots.
This imaging is what makes accurate, safe placement possible. Without it, implant planning is approximate. With it, we know exactly where each implant will go before surgery begins.

Treatment Plan

Based on the scan and your clinical profile, we put together a written treatment plan outlining: proposed implant positions and number of implants, any preparatory procedures needed, the expected timeline from first to final appointment, costs, and the implant system recommended for your case.
You receive this plan in writing. No next steps happen until you've read it, asked your questions, and decided you want to proceed.

The implant is placed under local anaesthesia. The procedure itself typically takes 1–2 hours for a single implant, longer for multiple placements.
Most patients are surprised by how manageable it is. The anaesthesia is effective, and what you feel during the procedure is primarily pressure — not pain. For patients with significant dental anxiety, or those having multiple implants placed in a single session, IV sedation is available. Under sedation, you remain conscious but deeply relaxed, and most patients remember very little of the procedure.
After surgery, some swelling and mild discomfort over the following 2–3 days is normal. We provide written post-operative instructions and remain reachable by WhatsApp during your recovery period.

Healing and Osseointegration

Once the implant is placed, you go home. Over the following 2–3 months, the titanium post fuses with the surrounding bone — a process that happens on its own, without further intervention. You don't need to be in Istanbul for this stage.
During healing, we recommend:

  • Soft diet for the first 2 weeks around the surgical site
  • Careful oral hygiene — keeping the area clean is important; avoiding it is not
  • No smoking — nicotine impairs blood supply to healing tissue and significantly raises the risk of implant failure
  • Attending any scheduled check-ups with your local dentist if arranged

A temporary restoration may be placed during this period, depending on the location of the implant and your clinical situation.

Crown Fitting (Second Visit)

Once osseointegration is confirmed, you return to Istanbul for your second visit. We take impressions or digital scans of the implant and surrounding teeth, and the permanent crown is fabricated to match the shape, size, and shade of your natural dentition.
The crown is attached via the abutment and adjusted for bite. This appointment is typically completed within 2–3 days.
